What is difference between upstream and downstream?

Upstream and downstream indicate the direction that the ship will move. For example, if upstream is from Saigon to Siem Reap, downstream is in opposite direction, it means from Siem Reap to Saigon. Generally, all activities and programs in upstream and down stream’s itinerary is similar to each other. The only one difference is that the ship moves from the opposite direction.

What is the difference between low water and high water season?

Depending on whether it is low water season or high water season, the itinerary may have some changes. So, what is the difference between low water and high water season?

Low water season: Low water season is from December to August. In this season, the water level goes down and remains very low in Tonle Sap, therefore, the cruise has to dock in Kampong Cham, where the embarkation and disembarkation will take place.

High water season: High water season lasts from August to December. The water level is high, thereby, the ship will cruise along in Tone Sap and dock near Siem Reap pier. The embarkation and disembarkation, therefore, will take place near Siem Reap pier.

In short, high water and low water season make itinerary timing schedule changeable in Siem Reap but there is no change at other destinations.

Do I need to bring Visa onboard?

Visa for both countries are necessarily needed, hence, please check with Vietnamese and Cambodian embassies in your countries.
