School Culture Discover Tour 6Days
This is a culture field trip which helps your students/pupils discover Vietnamese culture in a typical area of Vietnam. Following Ho Chi Minh city, students/pupils will spend one night home stay with friendly host families, visit one of factories in Mekong to learn about local business and a chance to explore the life on water interface
Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City (D)
Upon arrival Tan Son Nhat International airport our guide and driver will meet you and transfer to the hotel for check in and free time at leisure.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City tour – Cu Chi Tunnel (B/L)
After breakfast, pick up you at hotel, transfer to Cu Chi Tunnel to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. Students and pupils have a chance to discover famous tunnels using during the war time in Vietnam. They also have a chance to try the feeling inside the incredible tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food in war time)
Back to Sai Gon and enjoy lunch at local restaurant. Continue, visit Re-unification palace, the former headquarters of anti-communism in the south.
We take a short walk to visit the war museum, full of relics from Vietnam war. Scary but really worth to visit, then students and pupils will learn to love the peace. The last destination, The Post Office and the Cathedral Church which were built in the late 1800s of materials imported from France.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – overnight homestay (B/L)
In the morning, have breakfast at your hotel. Beginning an adventure tour to Mekong Delta where you explore the villages and islands along the Mekong River. The boat of Mekong Travel will take you to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Then, we visit a nursery garden for you to contact the real famous farmers – Mr Tiger or his son who is very successful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits from his garden & homemade rice wine
The rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish… Especially, you will have experience cooking some dishes with the owners.
Overnight at home stay
Day 4: Cai Be floating market – Ho Chi Minh (B/L)
Have early breakfast and have a boat trip to Cai Be colorful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn to discover one of local business.
It is so interesting to visit the handicraft village where you can see how they make some special products: making rice-net for spring-rolls, fish sauce & Soya sauce, cooking salt, sewing coconut-leaves for cottage roof…The cruise will end at Cai Be town. Back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5: Sai Gon orphanage village (B/L)
Today, we will have a full day to visit Can Gio Handicap School located in a poor suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City. Nearly 50 children suffer from a whole range of symptoms, including mental under-development, or Cerebral Palsy or Down Syndrome,…. They live in a small cramped space which is not enough space for them to play and live, material conditions here is deprived very much. Thus, this Orphanage gets the help from kindhearted donators from all parts of the world to contribute reliefs for the best take care of children. Students and pupils can come here play with disadvantaged kids and do volunteer here.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh departure (B)
Have breakfast. Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for onward flight. Finish a wonderful school trip with beautiful memories. See you again next trip.
